| About Breckenridge |
Breckenridge Colorado is a 149 year-old quaint Victorian town located in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Breckenridge is also a popular ski resort during the winter months, offering excellent winter activities including skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh ridges and snowmobiling. The Breckenridge Ski Resort is currently the most popular ski resort in the United States. Summer in Breckenridge attracts many outdoor enthusiasts to its hiking, back country trails, wildflowers, fly-fishing, mountain biking, golf, rafting, horseback riding and nearby Lake Dillon for boating.
Once a gold mining town, Breckenridge is rich in the history of the old mining era that is still evident within its store fronts, bars, Victorian architecture and the stories that keep the legend alive. |

Breckenridge Ski Resort - Now considered the most popular resort in the United States, the Breckenridge Ski Resort, with an average of 25 feet of snow each year, offers a wide variety of activities including downhill skiing, snow boarding, snowmobiling, sleigh rides and snowshoeing. Breckenridge Free Ride Park - This is a free ride stunt park and one of the first five parks permitted on public lands in the nation. There are approximately ten features from raised ramps to log rides and jumps for mountain bikers. Phone: (970) 547-3155.
Breckenridge Recreation Center - The Breckenridge Recreation Center is a great place to spend the day and offers something for everyone. Kayak Park - This fun 1800-foot whitewater kayak park, that opens from April to August, includes splash rocks, eddie pools, play waves and s-curves.

Getting to Breckenridge - Get Direction to Breckenridge |
| Breckenridge is located two hours west of the Denver International Airport. To get to Breckenridge from the airport, you will cross the Continental Divide by driving through the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnel or via US 6 (Loveland Pass) which exits I-70 at the tunnel and reconnects at Silverthorne on the west side. Breckenridge is located two and one-half hours northwest of the Colorado Springs Airport and can be reached by a scenic drive that crosses the well maintained Ute, Wilkerson and Hoosier passes. The town of Breckenridge offers free public transportation around the town and throughout the county. |
